Moving to Sharepoint? Need to export or backup your data stored in Lotus Quickplace? We have the solution.

Crossware QPExport for Lotus Quickplace

Crossware QPExport is a utility for extracting data from Quickplace into a standard Windows folder structure.

QPExport is easy to use - either from a web browser or a Lotus Notes client. The utility allows you to select from the available Quickplace sites on your server, and gives you options as to what file types you would like included or excluded.

Crossware QPExport can export most Quickplace content, including pages with or without file attachments, rooms, inner rooms, imported pages (in fact everything except for pages created with custom forms).

Once exported, you can archive the resulting files and folders to CD/DVD, or 'drag and drop' via Windows Explorer into other collaboration software for example Microsoft SharePoint.

Crossware QPExport is easy to setup - it consists of a single Lotus Notes database which needs to be placed on your Quickplace server. Sign the database with an appropriate ID, and you are ready to start exporting your site content.

Using QPExport, your exported sites will be accessible without needing a Quickplace server. You can send the data contained in the sites to other parties without Quickplace.

Step 1:

Open the Quickplace Export database. Select the Quickplace you would like to export. Select the attachment types you would like exporting, and select the folder and file path where you would like to export the site to. Press 'OK' to start your export.

Step 2:

Wait while the Quickplace is extracted. The speed of the export will vary depending on your network and the number of files/pages in your Quickplace.

At the end of the export, check the errors and warnings to ensure the site has exported correctly.

Step 3:

Your export is complete. Browse to the folder you selected to export the site to. Launch the 'index.htm' file.

Your computer will display a webpage containing a drill down interface to allow viewing of the entire place, including folders, pages and attached files.
