    What is a Software Maintenance and Support Agreement?

    If you have valid Software Maintenance and Support for Crossware Mail Signature, you will be able to download and use updates and new releases of Crossware Mail Signature. Major new software updates that are released after your Software Maintenance and Support has expired will not work with your existing licence key, so you will need to either purchase a new license or re-instate the Software Maintenance and Support in order to use the new releases, which will be more expensive than renewing the Software Maintenance and Support.

    What do I get in return for renewing the Software Maintenance and Support?

    You have access to updates and new releases and you will receive an updated licence key for major releases of Crossware Mail Signature. In addition, you are also entitled to 12 months of technical support by email or in critical cases by phone.

    Do I get software maintenance and support when I purchase Crossware Mail Signature?

    12 months of Software Maintenance and Support is included in your initial licence purchase.

    After 12 months, Crossware or your reseller will offer you an additional year of Software Maintenance and Support. At this point you can choose:

    • To renew the Software Maintenance and Support for another 12 months. The cost of renewing an existing Software Maintenance and Support contract is normally 22% of the current license price.
    • Let the support lapse, in which case there is no right to upgrade to newer version, and there is no support except for our self-service support resources. The cost of reinstating the Software Maintenance and Support agreement is 50% of a full license.
